A NEW DAY

 

It's a new day marking a new year, been quite a while i last posted, grateful to be alive to see this new day. I know 2015 must have been different things for each of us  . . . graduation, getting the ring, the house, the dream job, having the first baby, losing the loved one, the rejection letters, heart break, betrayals . .. you name them, but we are here, so we strive on.

On days like this, the adrenaline is pumping, amazing resolutions fill up our diaries, 'ohhh ! this year am going to;

•    Get a job
•    Work harder
•    Get married,
•    Be sober
•    Finish my book
•    Spend wisely,
•    Control my temper 
•    Be  more disciplined
•    Study hard and finally get my degree 
•    Be a better father, mother, neighbour! . . .'  and on and on.

With solemn determination we promise to live by them all,  but then as we go on, some may slip away while some may stick on. Our world today needs people with passion -- passion for goodness, justice, integrity . . . and i feel that the best resolution we can make is to resolve to be such people, we don't have much of that these days . . . so resolve today to be one who lives with passion.
